Tear pad posters for the film festival are in, making an appearance at schools locally and nationally
My Fanboy & Chum Chum plush blanket arrived! And all I had to do was spend a few weeks designing the packaging pattern. Thanks to my friends at Nick for the opportunity to work on such fun projects.
Promo spot for Art+Soul of the Catskills Film Festival, produced by Jessica Vecchione.
Art+Soul of the Catskills Film Fest collateral. This weekend heralded the first-of-its-kind celebration of local (Catskills region) film makers. There may be other film fests in the area, but this one is dedicated to locals, and what a talented group of people! Anyway, I was fortunate enough to be asked to create some of the marketing collateral, including the poster, postcard, as well as web and video slides. Great event, can’t wait for next year! The following posts show a couple of promo videos to which I also contributed.
SUNY Oneonta graduate program sign. I don’t share much of my straightforward corporate work, but I’ve done a lot of projects with the grad department and they’re really great folks for whom to work. I’ve had the opportunity to do page banner, web, and print ads for them as well. For a graduate program the tuition seems reasonable and they turn out good students every semester. Check ‘em out.
Created a poster to promote the show Pennies, Band Aids & Safety Pins. It opened in July as part of the annual Treadwell Stagecoach Run Art Festival, and will have showings on the weekends through summer. There are several dressers set up in the space, and each drawer has a different theme. It’s an environmental exhibit where you are actually encouraged to rummage through other people’s drawers! Check it out if you are upstate.
New projects to be posted soon! Have not been able to post work, due to being overwhelming busy this summer. I’m enjoying a small lull at the moment. Unfortunately there are a number of projects I will not be able to show, due to confidentiality terms, but I will brag that these include pitches involving Toys “R” Us (gotta make sure to include quotes around the ‘R’), signage typography direction for a Universal Orlando store, and a marketing kit for one of my favorite WB properties.
Very soon I’ll be updating with samples from recent motion graphics, Catskill Film Festival, Slam Fest poetry posters, and SUNY Oneonta graduate program design.
Cooperstown/Otsego Tourism video. I’ve been working on design and motion graphics with the best Director and videographer in the Catskills, Jessica Vecchione (VeccVideography https://vimeo.com/veccvid). Jessica is an award-winning filmmaker, a wiz with Premiere and After Effects, and is helping my get my skills up to speed.
Revised and updated logo for the 80s-90s game show Double Dare. I missed this show the first time around, but it has been brought back for live Nickelodeon events. Top logo is the original (not by yours truly) and the new logo, below. This was a fun project and I like how it turned out, thanks to helpful art direction from the folks at Nick.
My favorite posters I designed for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles ride at Mall of America.
